What isGlovemate? If you've played baseball or softball, then you're familiar with the stinging pain, soreness and bruising as a result of catching a hard hit or thrown ball. Catching hard hit or thrown balls have been known to create such pain or damage to the hand that players may be out of action for extended periods of time. Glovemate is the most effective equipment ever developed to eliminate this discomfort and help prevent damage to the hand.
How does
Glovemate work? Glovemate is made of high quality leather and a durable neoprene "memory" cushion that contours to the player's hand. Glovemate literally absorbs the impact and force of the ball, protecting the hand from pain, bruising, and swelling.Glovemate's unique design is so comfortable, players quickly forget they have it on, except when they don't feel the stinging pain of catching a hard hit or thrown ball. Glovemate's patented design softens the catch without impeding hand or glove flexibility. Held in place by the easy-on velcro strap that fits around the index finger, Glovemate covers the area that is most vulnerable to the pain and injury of catching baseballs and softballs. There is no trampoline effect.
Who can or should useGlovemate? Whether you are a professional or amateur and you play baseball or softball, you will definitely benefit from the superior protection and comfort that only Glovemate provides. While Glovemate is widely used by major leaguers, college and high schoolers, Glovemate is great for youth players as well. If you are a parent of a child in baseball or softball, having them wear Glovemate will greatly reduce or eliminate any pain or injury as a result of catching a thrown or hit ball. Players will learn to play with more confidence. Everyone who plays baseball or softball will appreciate the increased protection, comfort, and confidence that only Glovemate provides.
What is the leather tether for (optional use)? The leather tether comes in each package inside the finger strap. The leather tether is for players who want to attach Glovemate to their ballglove. Step 1) Tie one end of the leather tether to the hole on the Glovemate. Step 2) attach Glovemate to the players hand. Step 3) insert hand inside ballglove. Step 4) measure how much of the leather tether is needed in order to tie (attach) the other end of the tether to the "thumb-knot" on the outside of the ballglove (with just a little "slack"). Step 5) Tie (attach) that end to the "thumb-knot". Step 6) Cut off the remaining (unused excess) of the tether. Now Glovemate will stay attached to the ballglove so that players will not lose or "misplace" it. Pros, college and high school players may not want to wear the tether attached, as they constantly put-on and take-off their gloves when in the field. Youth players will want to attach the tether so they don't lose or misplace it between innings or games

Attaching Glovemate is quick and easy.
What makes Glovemate better and/or different than other products that have come and gone? As a former college and professional player (First Baseman), my hand was always bruised and sore. No matter what product I tried, there was never a product that was perfectly "right". That was the reason I invented Glovemate. There were several criteria that must be met to be exactly "right;" 1) Attaches quickly, 2) Stays in place; 3) Comfortable; 4) Does not hinder the ballglove's "feel" and "flex action"; 5) For fielders as well as catchers; 6) It had to actually "Stop the Sting". The design, materials (quality leather and memory foam) and workmanship make Glovemate the definitive, only product that truly accomplishes all of the intended goals. And, Glovemate is the only product designed to "Stop the Sting" that is patented by the U.S. Patent Office. Once you wear Glovemate, you won't want to play without it.
